Radio Rabia Balkhi is a pioneering, women-led and women-owned radio station based in Balkh province, northern Afghanistan. Broadcasting in both Pashto and Dari, the station is dedicated to amplifying women’s voices and addressing issues that matter most to Afghan society.
Kandahar, Afghanistan
Tabasum Radio is a private broadcasting station in South Zone (Kandahar, Helmand and Zabul) Province’s; it on air in Nov-2016, this radio frequency is 91, 2FM and 87.5FM frequency. The main goad of this radio is to progress the common sense in society.
Bamyan, Afghanistan
Radio Nassim, founded in 2011 in Bamyan, Afghanistan, serves marginalized communities in the central highlands, including Bamyan and Daikundi. Broadcasting mainly in Farsi with some Pashto, It focuses on investigative journalism, human rights, education, and environmental issues, giving a voice to underrepresented communities.
Kunduz, Afghanistan
Radio Kunduz FM Network and Uranus TV are private broadcast media outlets in Kunduz Province, Afghanistan. With a focus on education, the station produces content for grades 7-12 and also covers various topics such as news, current affairs, human rights, economy, politics, trade, culture, and environmental reports.

Khaama Press, one of the leading news agencies in Afghanistan, plays a key role in disseminating information in a country known for its tumultuous politics and social instability. Founded in 2010, Khaama Press quickly established itself as a reliable news source, offering coverage on domestic and regional issues. This article aims to provide a qualitative analysis of Khaama Press, exploring its contribution to Afghan journalism, its impact on public opinion, and the challenges posed by a media environment that is often hostile. By better understanding the operations and influence of this agency, it is possible to assess its role in promoting transparency and shaping public discourse in Afghanistan.
